RIVER CITY BASEBALL would like to thank
you for your past and hopefully future support of our programs.We are a
14 year-old not-for-profit organization that provides summer baseball programs
for 13-18 yr old teams at Burdette Park and area high school fields. We
include players from Vanderburgh and surrounding counties. Over 400 ea.13-18
yr old teens played on local/area teams in leagues at Burdette Park in
2007. High schools represented in 2007 included Evansville Bosse,
Boonville, Castle, Evansville Central, Evansville Harrison, Henderson County,
KY, Heritage Hills, Jasper, Mater Dei, Memorial, Mt.Vernon, Evansville
North, Princeton, South Spencer, Evansville Reitz and Tecumseh. We
also host 3 ea Invitational baseball tournaments each year. These
tournaments brought an additional 40+ teams to Evansville for 3 to 5 days
each.
The Vanderburgh County Commissioners lease us the land for the ball fields
at minimal cost($1000.00/yr) but we have built and must maintain the fields,
pay all utilities and pay for any improvements. We have invested
over $100,000.00 in these facilties to date. Our players and their
families have funded the day-to-day operations of these programs but we
need help to continue the field maintenance and fund field improvements
still needed.

| River City Baseball consists of unpaid volunteers who donate their time and resources to providing quality baseball opportunities to area teens. River City Baseball offers financial support to our local and area high school and college baseball programs thru user fees, program advertising, and donations. In 2007 we invested $5926.75 in these programs. We also donated $3865.00 to a local teen church group for help in staffing our tournament and league worker groups. Our tournaments also provide a big boost to the local economy. In 2007, the Evansville Executive Inn alone documented 749 room nights@$70.00 per room for out-of town tournament teams and fans. |
We are a not-for-profit association under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code.
Contributions should be payable to River City Baseball.
