The 2000 National Amateur Baseball Federation 18 & Under Senior Division Regional will provide an excellent challenge for the Evansville Black Sox and a River City Baseball Select team to compete against the best select teams from the Midwest region. River City Baseball hosted the 1997, 1998, and 1999 N.A.B.F. Senior Division World Series with the Black Sox team serving as the host team. Our 3 year contract for the World Series has expired and we opted to host a regional tournament this year. The regional will be a 12-16 team double elimination tournament played July 26 thru July 30. Hosting the regional allows us to include an additional local team in post season play. This will allow at least 40 local and area players to showcase their talents before numerous college and pro scouts. We have found the N.A.B.F. (the oldest youth/sandlot baseball program in the country) provides the absolute best competition level for high school age players. Teams competing in the N.A.B.F. tournaments are always loaded with Division I players/signees. This tournament will truly test a player's ability and dedication to the game.
