Potential Razorback player,

Congratulations on being selected as a potential Razorback player for the 2010 season.  This nomination has come directly from your success and accomplishments on the baseball diamond.  Razorback Baseball is entering its ninth year as a college-prep traveling baseball program.  It is run under the Black Sox Baseball affiliation.  Black Sox Baseball will be entering its 18th season in 2009.  Since its inception in 1993, Black Sox Baseball has had over 182 collegiate signees, 18 MLB Amateur Draft picks, eight College All-Americans, 35 College All-Conference, 81 All-State, 27 Indiana All-South, 41 Kentucky All-West, and 12 Illinois All-South players.

In 2009 alone, Razorback Baseball graduated fourteen seniors into college baseball programs.  Since 2002, there are 124 former Razorbacks on 57 different college rosters.  Over the past six seasons 93/93 (100%) of our players have received scholarships to continue their baseball careers at the collegiate level.

Being a college-prep travel program, Razorback Baseball recruits from roughly a 500-mile radius of Evansville, IN.  Our recruiting is done in multiple ways.  I personally try to see as many Tri-State games as time allows.  Our coaching staff sees approximately 30-40 high school games each spring.  I also rely on pro scout, college coach, and high school coach recommendations.  Our organization has established good communication with the regional colleges and universities regarding their potential recruits.  We utilize the college coach’s recommendations strongly in our selection process and anytime we are unable to see a player first hand.  We also pay close attention to the yearly All-Conference, All-Region, All-District and All-State teams.  Since our inception, our program has been comprised of players from over 52 different high schools from throughout the Midwest.

                Over the past seven season’s, Razorback Baseball has established itself nationally as an organization on the rise.  Over the past four seasons the Razorbacks have defeated the following 21 World Series participants/place winners;

Youth Service League, NY – 2006 NABF Senior World Series 4th Place

St. Louis, MO Recruits – 2006 Triple Crown National Runners-Up

Indiana Yankees – 2006 NABF Senior World Series Qualifier

Maple Zone Diamonds, DE – 2006 NABF Senior World Series Qualifier

Rockford, OH Hitmen – 2006 CABA World Series Qualifier

Columbus, OH Jaguars – 2006 CABA World Series Qualifier

Wichita, KS Gators – 2006 Hap Dumont NBC National Champions

White Sox Academy – 2006 Triple Crown National Champions

Midland, OH Indians – 2007 CABA World Series 7th place

Bayside, NY Yankees – 2007 PBA National Champions

Nashville, TN Knights – 2007 Sandlott World Series Champions

USAthletics, IN Reds – 2007 CABA World Series Qualifier

Houston, TX Heat – 2007 NABF Senior World Series Champions

Huntington, WV Hounds – 2007 NABF Senior World Series Qualifier

Jackson, MS 96ers – 2007 NABF Senior World Series 5th place

New York Nine – 2007 NABF Senior World Series 3rd place

Midland Redskins – 2008 Connie Mack National Runners-Up

Troy, OH – 2008 NABF Senior World Series Qualifier

Norwood, IL Blues – 2008 NABF Senior World Series Qualifier

Bayside, NY Yankees – 2008 NABF Senior National Champions

Bloomington, IL Gold – 2008 NABF Senior World Series 3rd Place

Along with competing against some of the best teams in the nation, since 2003 the Razorbacks have faced countless nationally ranked players by PG Crosschecker.com, 159 MLB Draft picks, 57 High School All-Americans, and fourteen U.S.A. National Team players.

A season with the Razorbacks will help you realize where you stack up against other college-bound student athletes.  We will play a very competitive 35-45 game schedule against some of the best teams and players the nation has to offer.  Over the past six  seasons, the Razorbacks have competed against teams from Colorado, Texas, West Virginia, Alabama, Tennessee, New York, Delaware, Kansas, Illinois, Indiana, Ohio, Virginia, Maryland, Kentucky, Georgia, Missouri, Florida, Mississippi, Pennsylvania, and Canada.  I hope you will take the time to look over the enclosed literature.  I appreciate your time and look forward to seeing you on the field with us in 2009.

Sincerely,

Jeremy Johnson
