COLLEGE RAZORBACK PLAYERS OF THE YEAR
The Razorbacks would
like to recognize former players who have excelled at the collegiate level. The following players have been named
Razorback College Players of the Year. The honors are broken out by
class. Congratulations to the
following players;
2007 CLASS: Kolbrin Vitek (Ball
State University)
and Stewart Ijames (University of Louisville)
Kolbrin is a freshman at Ball State
University. He helped lead Ball State
to a (27-23) record in his freshman season. Kolbrin finished the 2008 season
hitting .298 with four doubles, three triples, and four homeruns in 124 at
bats. On the mound, Kolbrin
finished the season (6-1) as the Sunday starter . He struck-out a team high 66 through
60.2 innings with an E.R.A. of 5.64 for the Cardinals.
Stewart is a freshman at
the University
of Louisville. He has helped lead University of Louisvilleto
a (37-19) record in his freshman season.
Stewart finished the regular season hitting .343 with seven doubles
three triples, and six homeruns in 140 at bats.
2006 CLASS: Jeff Arnold (University of Louisville)
Jeff is a sophomore at the
University of Louisville. He has helped lead the University of Louisville to a (37-19) record in his
sophomore season. Jeff finished
the regular season hitting .335 with 11 doubles, one triple, and two homeruns
in 164 at bats.
2005 CLASS: Kevin Hoef (University of Iowa)
Kevin is a junior at the University of Iowa. He has helped lead the University of Iowa to a (22-33) record. Kevin finished the 2008 season hitting
.357 with nine doubles, four triples and three homeruns in 196 at bats.
2004 CLASS: Eric Allen (Morehead State
University)
Eric is a senior at Morehead State University.
He helped lead Morehead State
to a (18-33) record. Eric
finished the season hitting .297 with eight doubles one triple, and 17
homeruns in 155 at bats.
